Credit Guide - Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 10, 2026

Credit Guide (the "App") is a credit estimation and financial awareness tool designed to help users understand their credit standing. We are committed to protecting user privacy and handling data responsibly in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Google Play User Data policies.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses, uses, and protects information when you use Credit Guide.

Information Access and Permissions

To deliver accurate credit estimates and ensure service availability, the App may request access to certain device features. These permissions are requested only when necessary and are used exclusively for the purposes described below.

SMS Access

With your explicit authorization, the App may access SMS messages on your device. This access is strictly limited to identifying financial transaction–related messages (such as bank balance alerts, credit/debit notifications) in order to analyze your cash flow. Non‑financial SMS (e.g., personal conversations, OTPs, promotional messages) are never read or processed.

The analysis is performed to generate a more informed credit estimate by understanding your income and expense patterns. You may revoke SMS permission at any time through your device settings; the credit estimation feature may then rely only on manually entered data.

Camera Access

The camera permission is used exclusively to allow you to capture and upload a profile photo (avatar) within the App. This image is used solely for personalization and is never subjected to facial recognition or any other biometric processing.

The camera is activated only after you explicitly choose to take a photo. You may also upload an image from your device storage if you prefer.

Approximate Location Access

The App may request access to your approximate location to confirm that our credit estimation service is available in your geographical region. This helps us comply with local regulations and determine whether we can offer the full set of features in your area.

Location is accessed only when the App is in use and only to perform this eligibility check. We do not track your location in the background or for any other purpose.

How Information Is Used

Information accessed through permissions is used solely to provide and improve the App's core services, including:

We do not use permission‑derived data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

Data Transmission and Storage

Some data (such as financial SMS‑derived indicators, location information, and your profile photo) is securely transmitted to our backend servers to perform the credit estimation. We do not store any personal data on our servers – all information is used exclusively for the immediate calculation and then discarded. No copies are retained, and we do not build any long‑term profile of your data.

All network communication is protected using HTTPS encryption and industry‑standard security practices. Our backend infrastructure is configured to process data in memory only, with automatic deletion after each session.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App may use limited third‑party infrastructure services (e.g., cloud compute providers) that support application stability and performance. These providers operate under strict data‑processing agreements and are not permitted to access or store your personal information beyond the immediate request.

We ensure that any third‑party integration follows applicable privacy requirements and only processes data necessary for service operation.

Data Retention

As stated above, we do not retain any personal data after the credit estimation is delivered. All information transmitted for calculation is erased immediately. You can also revoke any permission at any time through your device system settings.

If you choose to stop using the App, no residual data remains with us.

Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information during transmission and processing. These include encrypted communication (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to maintain a high level of data protection.

Children's Privacy

Credit Guide is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

User Rights

Depending on applicable laws and regulations, users may have rights related to their personal data, including access, correction, or deletion requests. Because we do not store your data, such requests are inherently fulfilled. Users may contact us directly regarding privacy‑related concerns.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in functionality, legal requirements, or service improvements. Updates will be indicated by revising the "Last updated" date.
